Our reclaimed Pine shiplap has been salvaged from pre-war buildings and homes throughout North Texas and barns in Missouri. The surface has been cleaned of fabric and wallpaper remnants, and nails and protruding tack nails have been removed. Because this wood has never been finished or sealed, the patina is warm and has darkened, making it a coveted wall covering and flooring material today. Some pieces have circular saw marks, some don't, but they all have individuality, unique character and are a sustainably sourced material. One side of the shiplap has multiple tack nails, while the other side should be free.
Antique Shiplap is harder and harder to come by, so please contact us to make sure we can fulfill your order! Due to it’s scarcity, Please allow as much lead-time as possible.
HISTORY OF SHIPLAP
Shiplap was originally made to build ships, and historians believe this is the origin of its name. It's milled with a rabbet edge that allows for lap and gap style of placement and when put together creates a watertight seal. It's been used on building exteriors as waterproof siding, and for interiors as walls. It was the precursor to sheetrock and installed to hide framing and give wallpaper something to adhere to.

All purchases through the website are for Dallas (6920 C.F. Hawn Frwy) pick up. We will gladly handle shipping on any order in the continental US. Once your purchase has been approved we will give you a call to coordinate. MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY of 500 SQUARE FEET IS REQUIRED FOR SHIPPING. Please budget the following:
For orders greater than 500 miles from Dallas, estimate $1 per sq foot, and will transit LTL. PLEASE CALL FOR A QUOTE, AS SHIPPING COSTS FLUCTUATE OFTEN.
For orders within 500 miles of Dallas, and over $1000, estimate about $1 per mile round trip and will transit via an in-house driver.
For orders within Dallas / Fort Worth, and over $500, estimate about $1 per mile round trip for delivery and will transit via an in-house driver.
